Astral Poly Expects Piping Industry Demand To Pick Up In Second Half Of 2018

Affordable housing demand growth to push demand for pipes in the country, said Astral Poly.

India’s second largest pipe maker Astral Poly Technik Ltd. expects industry demand to pick up towards the latter half of next year aided by growth in the affordable housing segment.

Hiranand Savlani, chief financial officer of the company, told BloombergQuint in an interview that he sees no pressure on margins going ahead. The government’s incentives to both developers and buyers on affordable housing will boost demand, he said.
