(Bloomberg) -- Tesla Inc. is looking to hire a director in China to design electric cars tailored to Chinese consumer tastes, Reuters reports, citing three people with knowledge of the matter.
The carmaker is searching for candidates who are familiar with Chinese tastes as part of a possible plan for a design studio that could be based in Shanghai or Beijing.
Tesla did not respond to emailed requests from Reuters for comment.
