BCG’s Rastogi Promoted to Global Head of Tech, Media, Telco

(Bloomberg) -- Boston Consulting Group has appointed Vaishali Rastogi its new global head of technology, media and telecommunications, placing her in charge of advisory services for some of the world’s biggest corporations.

Rastogi will assume her new role from Singapore in September, she told the Bloomberg Asean Business Summit in Bangkok Friday.

"I thought I’d be in Southeast Asia for longer, but I’m very excited," said Rastogi.

Since starting her career at BCG’s Mumbai office in 1997, Rastogi has risen through the ranks to become the firm’s first female partner and senior partner of Indian descent globally.

She has held a number of leadership positions, including a member of BCG’s Global Executive Committee, which is responsible for the firm’s strategy and governance. She has worked with clients across more than 20 emerging markets on topics related to revenue generation and digital transformation to increase corporate performance.
