Alphabet told a judge it will file proposed settlement by Jan. 4 to resolve litigation over data leaks in its now-defunct Google+.

(Bloomberg) -- Alphabet Inc. told a judge it will file a proposed settlement by Jan. 4 to resolve consumer litigation over data leaks caused by software bugs in its now-defunct Google+ social network platform.

A federal judge last week scheduled a Feb. 20 hearing in San Jose, California, to review the accord.
