Reliance Jio To Start Selling JioPhone 2 Online From August 16
JioPhone 2 will be available from August 16 on Reliance Jio’s website in a flash sale starting 12 PM.
Reliance Jio Infocomm Ltd. will launch the flash sale of its JioPhone 2 on Thursday as looks to increase boost the sales of the 4G-enabled feature phone to 100 million.
The new version of the JioPhone will be available for purchase on its website, Jio.com, from 12 PM on August 16 in a flash sale, a company statement said. Priced at Rs 2,999, the phone will come with QWERTY keypad and provide access to apps like Facebook, WhatsApp, YouTube, Google Maps in addition to existing Jio Apps like JioCinema, JioChat and JioMusic.

Reliance Industries Ltd. Chairman and Managing Director Mukesh Ambani had said that there were more than 25 million Jiophone users in India. “With the added functionalities, our wider network reach across India and strong retail presence across India, the goal that I have now set for our Jio team is to enable 100 million users on this Jiophone platform in the shortest possible time.”
