However, the demand in May 2021 is lower compared to April 2021 due to rising rate of Covid-19 infections and consequent imposition of restrictions across various states. However, the average daily demand increased by 6.9% in June 2021 over May 2021 due to gradual relaxation in restrictions provided by a few states with a steady decline in fresh Covid-19 infections.
