We expect Q2 FY21 to be a mixed bag amid volatile volumes and margins even as there is sequential growth in product demand for the entire chain post the gradual easing of lockdown.

Oil marketing companies will buck the trend and enjoy healthy margin expansion in marketing while their inventory and foreign exchange gains will offset weak gross refining margins (due to the collapse of refining spreads globally).
