Market share and retail folio growth, as well as cost performance spanned out favourably for Nippon Life India Asset Management Ltd. in Q1 FY22. However, high net worth individual share improvement will be key for growing the systematic investment plan book.

Nippon Life added 630,000 unique investors in Q1 FY22 versus 1.1 million by the industry.

Similarly, it added 1.4 million exchange-traded fund folios in Q1 FY22, which accounted for 82% of incremental folios added by the industry.

In terms of unique investors, the company’s market share improved to 31% in Q1 FY22 versus 30% in Q4 FY21.

However, systematic transactions in June 2021 stood at Rs 5.9 billion versus Rs 6.6 billion in March 2021 and Rs 6.7 billion in June 2021.
