Motilal Oswal Report

GAIL India Ltd. reported lower-than-estimated Q2 FY21 Ebitda, led by continued poor performance in gas trading for the second consecutive quarter.

However, other segments reported better numbers (with petrochememical being a surprise).

Gas transmission volumes stood at 106 million metric standard cubic meter per day (down 2% YoY) in Q2 FY21, although above FY20 average.

The company expects further increase in transmission and trading volumes in the coming quarters.
