Larsen and Toubro Ltd. has articulated the strategy in its FY21 annual report to build new capabilities (significant emphasis on digitalisation) and to realise new opportunities through three-pronged approach ranging from the long-term perspective (seven-10 years) to medium-term lakshya (five years) and to short-term budget plan (yearly).

The company is focusing on an asset-light business model by reducing its exposure to asset-heavy businesses and divesting non-core assets.

Furthermore, in order to reduce the cyclicity of the engineering, procurement, construction business, the company intends to increase its share of the services business by leveraging digitalisation solutions.
