Life Insurance - Private Players’ Individual Weighted Received Premium Grew By 39% In August: Motilal Oswal

Private players’ Individual Weighted Received Premium grew 39.1% YoY in August 2021 (two-year compound annual growth rate of 14.5%; up 21% in July 2021), while the industry posted a growth of 18.9% (two-year CAGR of 7.8%; up 15% in July 2021).
In FY22 year-to-date, private players’ Individual WRP grew 30.8% YoY (two-year CAGR of up 5.3%).
The same for the industry grew 16.7% YoY (two-year CAGR of up 2.4%).
Life Insurance Corporation of India reported a decline of 5.1% YoY (two-year CAGR of down 1.5%; down 4.2% in July-21) in Individual WRP.
In FY22 YTD, LIC’s Individual WRP fell 0.4% YoY (two-year CAGR of down 1.8%).
