In May 2021 (up to May 19), international sugar prices touched four year high as the white sugar prices in London and the raw sugar prices in New York averaged at $461.8 per tonne and U.S. cent 17.4 per lb, respectively.

Such high price levels for both these varieties were witnessed earlier four years back in the initial months of 2017.

The price of white sugar in London and that of raw sugar in New York had averaged at $465.1 per tonne and U.S. cent 16.4 per lb in April 2017.
