Systematix Research Report

Our study of the constituents of equity and passive assets under management of top-10 asset management companies over the past 2.5 years suggests that the loft is a trinity abode with ICICI Pru AMC, HDFC Asset Management Company Ltd. and SBI AMC constituting one-third of total equity AUM (Rs 17.6 trillion as of Q2 FY22).

While HDFC AMC has lost the maximum market share (down 460 basis points) in total equity AUM, Axis AMC (up 300 bps) has gained the most in 2.5 years.

The trinity of ICICI Pru AMC, HDFC AMC and SBI AMC also makes up 29% of equity-oriented schemes AUM, with Axis AMC gaining the maximum market share (up 450bps) in 2.5 years.
