Motilal Oswal Report
Gujarat State Petronet Ltd. reported a marginally higher (up 5%) transmission volume than our estimate at 36.8 million metric standard cubic meter per day (up 11% YoY and up 9% QoQ), with implied tariff at Rs 1,282/million standard cubic meter.
Demand recovery from the refining/petchem segment offsets weak demand from city gas distributions, while demand from the power sector recovered QoQ.
Volumes in July 2021 have recovered further to 39.4mmscmd.
Gujarat State Petronet's management expects it to improve from here on as the demand from the CGD sector normalises (after being impacted by the second Covid-19 wave), along with increased flow of gas from Reliance Industries Ltd.’s Krishna-Godavari basin to customers in Gujarat.
