Fertiliser Sector Update - Decline In DAP, Urea Drag Sales In April: Prabhudas Lilladher

Fertilizer sales declined 22% YoY in April driven by 78%/14% decline in Di-ammonium phosphate/urea sales to 1.7 million tonne/0.16 million tonne.

Nitrogen, phosphorus, and potassium sales grew 6% YoY to 0.63 million tonne.

Sale of imported fertilizers declined 84% driven by 77%/50% decline in DAP/NPK sales as imports became uncompetitive in the wake of rising raw material prices.

Raw material prices are on upward trajectory with phosphoric acid/sulphur/ammonia prices being up by 35%/181%/32% YoY in February.
