Discom Liquidity Infusion Scheme Ends In 2021 With Disbursal Of  More Than Rs 75,000 Crore: ICICI Securities

Additional disbursals totalling Rs 295 billion in the past two months through the Power finance corporation/Rural electrification corporation Aatmanirbhar scheme to infuse liquidity into discoms have taken total disbursal in FY21 to Rs 755.6 billion.

Further, loan sanctions have now reached Rs 1.35 trillion, an increase of Rs 105 billion during the same period under Ujjwal Discom Assurance Yojana limit relaxation, key beneficiaries being Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Andhra Pradesh.

Additional disbursals have been mainly to UP, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Bihar.

This has resulted in clearing of dues of Central public sector undertaking power generation companies, transmission companies and Coal India Ltd.
