We attended the CII real estate conference recently.

We note the mixed signals from the residential sector. While all the participants were optimistic about the continuation of growth in sales volume, we note that growth was driven by demand from select builders, which has led to increased financial stress for other builders.

This has led to many of them selling their projects to larger builders at a distressed price (discount of 40% to current market prices).
