Bharat Electronics has received a trail order from Delhi metro, which marks its beginning in the railways and metro business.
In medical electronics, it is working with aggregators who can undertake deliveries and installations across hospitals.
It entered software-as-a-solution last year and aims to scale the business to Rs 50 billion over the next three years.
In line with the government’s Make in India initiative, there are 692 items which have been identified by the Ministry of Defense’s under its Indigenisation portal (Srijan) from which the company stands to benefit.
