Motilal Oswal Report

The outlook for business recovery has improved since June 2021, led by an uptick in economic activity and the rising pace of vaccinations.

Most sub-segments within retail and small and medium enterprise are showing healthy signs of revival, with strong demand in the home, vehicle, two-wheeler, tractor, and small business segments.

On the other hand, commercial vehicle, micro finance institution, and unsecured loans business continue to trail below normalised levels.

The credit cards business is also seeing strong momentum, with spends higher versus March 2021 levels.

Conversely, corporate trends remain muted with higher un-utilised limits, and we expect private capex to take time to revive.
