Aviation Sector Update - Average Daily Fliers Drops To 2.44 Lakh, Fliers Per Departure To 106: ICICI Securities

Weekly average daily fliers came in at 2,44,000 in the week ended March 13, 2021 vs 2,64,000 in the week ended March 6, 2021.

For the week ending March 13, 2021, average number of departures per day declined 2% WoW to 2,294 vis-à-vis 2,338 in the prior week.

The number of fliers per departure fell to 106 from 113 in the respective weeks.

The recent dip in weekly fliers could also be partly due to rising Covid cases, especially in Maharashtra.

Weak trend in March can impact the earnings of airlines.
