Angel One Ltd. released its monthly update highlighting key business numbers for December 2021. The following are the takeaways:
Gross client acquisitions increased to 0.46 million for December 2021 versus 0.45 million for November 2021.
Angel One’s total client base stood at 7.78 million as of Dec-21. (up 6% month-on-month and 144% YoY).
The average funding book declined for the second consecutive month to ~Rs 15.1 billion.
The number of trades stood at 118 million for Dec-21, implying growth of 13% month-on-month. However, the number of trades per day declined to 2.8 million in Dec-21 from 3 million in Nov-21.
On the back of market volatility, overall average daily turnover also declined 2.6% month-on-month, with cash ADTO seeing a higher impact of 14% month-on-month.
