Fourth quarter for fiscal 20 consumer retail revenue showed an on average slid of approximately 14.2% y/y, from ~9.5% growth in third quarter.

Apparel, innerwear, footwear fell 13%/28%/12%, while department store revenue grew ~9.8% YoY. Comparable consumer retail Ebitda fell ~55% y/y (2.7% growth in Q3). While over 50% retail stores are now operational, category-wise recovery may differ.

Measures of retail companies now focus on greater operational efficiency, cost structure optimisation. The extent to which this can be managed will need to be watched.
