Analysing Nifty Performance In August 2021: Dolat Capital

Nifty gave a positive return of 8.7% (9.1% in U.S. dollar) during the month.

The biggest gainer in the index was Bajaj Finance Ltd. (20.8%) and the biggest loser was UPL Ltd. (down 8.3%).

17 stocks outperformed the index and 33 underperformed. Most of the stocks in the banking, financial services and insurance sector outperformed the Index.

Major stocks in the BFSI and auto sector underperformed the index.

Among the Indices, IT index outperformed with a return of (13.4%) while media index underperformed with a negative return of (down 10.8%) during the month.

Nifty Midcap 50 gave a negative return of down 2% (down 1.7% in U.S. dollar term) during the month.
