ICICI Direct Report

ACC Ltd. reported a healthy operational performance in Q1 FY22 wherein it managed to improve margins and profitability despite lower revenues.

Reported sales volume of 6.84 million tonne was up 43.7% YoY. However, due to state wise restrictions, it was down 14.2% sequentially.

ACC's capacity utilisation was at 77% for the quarter. Blended realisations of Rs 5680/were up 3.9% YoY, 5.5% QoQ.

Ready mix concrete revenues improved sharply on a YoY basis to Rs 255 crore. QoQ, it was down 29.2% due to limited business activity.

Cost of production was up 1.9% YoY to Rs 4,409/tonne (up 2.4% QoQ) due to a sharp increase in power and fuel costs.

However, Ebitda margins expanded 218 basis points YoY (up 233 bps QoQ) due to better sales realisations.
