"He's a true queer hero and icon, and Norman (Scott) this is for you," Whishaw said of the real life character he played on the show.

Patricia Arquette has won the award for Best Performance by an Actress in a Limited Series or a Motion Picture Made for Television for the mini-series Escape at Dannemora.

Carol Burnett Wins Lifetime Achievement in Television Award

Veteran TV host Carol Burnett has won the inaugural Carol Burnett Award to recognize a lifetime achievement in television. "I am really gobsmacked by this," she said after the announcement. "Does this mean I get to accept it every year?"

Justin Hurwitz Wins Best Original Score for 'First Man'

Music composer Justin Hurwitz has won Best Original Score - Motion Picture for his work in the Damien Chazelle-directed biopic First Man.

Lady Gaga & 'A Star Is Born' Win Best Original Song

The track "Shallow" from A Star Is Born has won Best Original Song - Motion Picture with the Globe being shared by Lady Gaga, Mark Ronson, Anthony Rossomando, and Andrew Wyatt.

The Crown star Olivia Colman won the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy for her role in Yorgos Lanthimos’ period comedy The Favourite.

She thanked her "b*tches" — co-stars in the film Rachel Weisz and Emma Stone. "Every second of working with you girls was such a joy," she said.

Colman then added about her experience on the sets: "I went on a private jet and I ate constantly throughout the film. It was brilliant."

'Green Book' Wins Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy.

Green Book, directed by Peter Farrelly and starring Viggo Mortensen and Mahershala Ali walked away with its third and biggest prize of the evening with the Golden Globe for Best Motion Picture - Musical or Comedy.
