Adventurer and TV host Aldo Kane joined the Royal Marines at just 16, and became a crack sniper in hot zones around the world. Now, he provides safety for TV productions as they film under some of the earth’s most extreme conditions. On this week’s Travel Genius, Aldo talks about everything from rowing across the Atlantic to the essentials he packs to survive in any circumstance. He also shares an unlikely, lesser-known spot in Scotland that’s one of Europe’s unexpected surfing meccas.

We’re turning Travel Genius over to you, the listener.  Hosts Nikki Ekstein and Mark Ellwood discuss the tips left by listeners on our hotline (that’s 646-324-3490). They discuss everything from suitcases to sharing outlets at the airport.

Listen in for all that and more—and then, if you're inspired to share your own travel genius moments, give Nikki and Mark a shout on Twitter, via email, or by phone at (646) 324-3490. If you're lucky (and especially clever), we'll share your best tips on a future episode.
