History beckons yet again. Roger Federer, the Swiss tennis ace, is through to yet another Wimbledon final.

Federer overcame Czech Tomas Berdych in straight sets to enter his eleventh final at the All England Club. Federer, who is currently ranked number five in the men’s circuit, will face Croatia's Marin Cilic in the final. A win in Sunday's match will give Federer his nineteenth grand slam and eighth Wimbledon title.

Cilic beat American Sam Querrey 6-7, 6-4, 7-6, 7-5 in the semi-finals. Sunday’s match will be Cilic's second Grand Slam final after tasting victory in the 2014 U.S. Open.

Federer has been in top form in 2017, winning four out the six tournaments he participated in. The former world number one clinched the Australian Open in January but skipped the French Open in June.

A victory against Cilic will make the 35-year old Federer the oldest man to win the Wimbledon title since the beginning of the open era in 1968.
