The founder chairman of Marico Ltd.—the consumer goods maker whose flagship products comprise Parachute coconut oil and Saffola cooking oil—talks about his favourite books on management and sums up key lessons from them.

This book, Mariwala said, deals with how important it is to have passion along with perseverance and determination for success.

The book, according to Mariwala, dwells on how hard work and execution are as important as strategy and thinking.

The business lesson from this book, Mariwala said, is the purpose of an organisation that focuses on not just profits and shareholders but is accountable to all stakeholders.

This book talks about “creating the right to win”, said Mariwala.
