(Bloomberg) -- Representative Mark Meadows will submit his resignation from Congress on Monday to begin his new job as President Donald Trump’s fourth chief of staff, according to three people familiar with the matter.

Trump named Meadows to replace Mick Mulvaney earlier this month but the North Carolina congressman didn’t immediately resign from Congress and it was unclear when he would begin the job. His first official day leading the White House staff is Monday, the people said.

The resignation may not be officially processed until Tuesday.

The people asked not to be identified because Meadows hasn’t officially announced his resignation.
