President Donald Trump deserves a Nobel Peace Prize more than former President Barack Obama did when he was awarded the honor in 2009, Eurasia Group founder Ian Bremmer said.

“I can say he deserves one more than Obama did at the time that Obama received it,” Bremmer said Thursday in an interview on Bloomberg Television. “That was a symbolic prize at that point. It was a hopeful prize. It was aspirational and it was overtly political.”

The Norwegian Nobel Committee announced Obama had won the prize on Oct. 9, 2009, less than nine months into Obama’s presidency, citing the former president’s work on nuclear non-proliferation and outreach to the Muslim world. Bestowing the honor on Obama so soon after he took office led to charges from Trump and others that the award was overtly political.

Trump has been nominated for next year’s Nobel Peace Prize by a right-wing lawmaker in Norway’s anti-immigration party.

Christian Tybring-Gjedde of the Progress Party put forward Trump’s name, citing the U.S.-brokered agreement that put Israel and the United Arab Emirates on a path to normalize relations, in an interview with Fox News. It’s the second time Tybring-Gjedde has nominated Trump for the award.

“Trump has had a lot of foreign policy missteps on his watch, but he has had some successes,” Bremmer said, citing Trump’s part in brokering the deal between Israel and the UAE and Israel and Bahrain.
