(Bloomberg) -- President Donald Trump used a pre-Super Bowl interview to ridicule Democratic presidential candidate Michael Bloomberg over his height and said he wanted to run against the former New York mayor.

“Very little. I just think of little,” Trump told Fox News host Sean Hannity when asked about Bloomberg. “Now he wants a box for the debates,” suggesting Bloomberg wants to appear taller on the debate stage.

Bloomberg hasn’t qualified for any of the Democratic presidential debates so far because the Democratic National Committee has required candidates to take donations as a measure of success. Bloomberg is self-financing his campaign.

Last week, the DNC changed the debate rules to eliminate the individual donor requirement and raised the requirement for standing in national polls. The changes could allow Bloomberg to participate in a future debate.

Bloomberg, campaigning in California, said, “The president lies. He lies about everything.” He added, “I stand twice as tall as he does on the stage.”

Bloomberg is the founder and majority owner of Bloomberg LP, the parent company of Bloomberg News.
