Russia Considers ‘Loyalty Agreements’ for Foreign Workers

(Bloomberg) -- Russia is considering “loyalty agreements” for migrants with a list of conditions, the violation of which could lead to expulsion, according to proposals published on the Kremlin’s website.

Among the obligations being considered for foreigners are compliance with the law and a ban on taking part in political activities.

In addition, Russia may introduce a “controlled stay” regime for migrants deemed to pose a threat to the country.

The Kremlin said existing migration rules are not sufficiently clear and aligned.
