Pence Condemns Trump Supporters Who ‘Wreaked Havoc’ on Capitol
Pence denounced Trump’s supporters who violently stormed the U.S. Capitol as lawmakers reconvened to certify Biden’s victory.

(Bloomberg) -- Vice President Mike Pence denounced President Donald Trump’s supporters who violently stormed the U.S. Capitol on Wednesday as lawmakers reconvened to certify Joe Biden’s electoral victory.
“We condemn the violence that took place here in the strongest possible terms,” Pence said as he presided over the Senate chamber as it reopened after the building was secure.
“To those who wreaked havoc in our capitol today, you did not win,” he added. “Violence never wins. Freedom wins. And this is still the people’s House.”
