(Bloomberg) -- Nigerian opposition presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar said he rejects the results of a election won by incumbent Muhammadu Buhari and will challenge them in court.
Abubakar, who lost to Buhari by a 56 to 41 percent margin, said in an emailed statement that the election was “a sham.”
The Independent National Electoral Commission earlier Wednesday declared Buhari, 76, the victor in the Feb. 23 general elections.
