Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath Announces His Resignation
Addressing a press conference, Nath said he would submit his resignation to the governor shortly.
Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Kamal Nath on Friday announced that he would submit his resignation to Governor Lalji Tandon, amid the political turmoil in the state.
The announcement came a day after the Supreme Court ordered the Madhya Pradesh Assembly Speaker to conduct a floor test by 5 p.m. on Friday. Addressing a press conference, Nath said he would submit his resignation to the governor shortly.
"I have decided to submit my resignations to the governor...But I will continue to work for the welfare of the people," he said.
Kamal Nath has submitted his resignation to Madhya Pradesh Governor Lalji Tandon. His letter states "All that has happened in Madhya Pradesh in the last two weeks is a new chapter in the weakening of democratic principles." pic.twitter.com/agzKBsdbxh
