Don McGahn Order to Testify to Congress Put on Temporary Hold

(Bloomberg) -- The Washington judge who ordered ex-White House Counsel Don McGahn to honor a congressional subpoena for his testimony on Wednesday put that directive on hold for consideration of a Trump administration request for a longer delay while the White House pursues a reversal on appeal.

U.S. District Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson had ruled Monday against the White House -- which sought to block the subpoena -- and in favor of the Democrat-led House Judiciary Committee. The panel seeks McGahn’s testimony in connection with events he witnessed which were later described in Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s report on Russian interference with the 2016 U.S. presidential election.
