India’s Health Ministry Reports Two More Coronavirus Cases

(Bloomberg) -- Two people have been diagnosed with the new coronavirus in India -- one in the country’s capital New Delhi and another in the southern state of Telangana, the Press Information Bureau of India reported Monday.

The Delhi case has a travel history from Italy, while the person in Telangana has traveled to Dubai.

India has so far only recorded three other cases of coronavirus -- all from Kerala in the country’s far south -- who have all since recovered and been discharged from hospital, the Ministry of Health said.

Stocks erased gains after gaining as much as 2% intraday and the rupee extended losses, while sovereign bonds held gains. Shares of Indigo, a budget carrier, were down about 4%, while Spicejet Ltd. retreated about 11%.
