Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias Resigns, Kathimerini Says

(Bloomberg) -- Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias submitted his resignation to Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras, according to the newspaper Kathimerini.

Kotzias was unhappy following an argument with Defense Minister Panos Kammenos at a cabinet meeting on Tuesday, Kathimerini reported on its website, without citing anyone.

Kotzias was the minister responsible for negotiating the agreement with the Republic of Macedonia over the country’s name, which has been the subject of a decades-long dispute between Greece and its northern neighbor. Kammenos opposes the accord.

Greek government spokesman Dimitris Tzanakopoulos early Wednesday said that whoever doesn’t want to follow the government’s policy can leave.
