Government Considers Extending Parliament Session By 10 Sittings

The union government is considering to extend the ongoing Parliament session by 10 days, people in know of the matter said on Tuesday.

Several Bharatiya Janata Party lawmakers were unofficially told about the possible Parliament session extension at the BJP parliamentary party meeting.

"There is a possibility of this. You will be officially conveyed when a decision is taken,” said Parliamentary Affairs Minister Pralhad Joshi after the meeting.

An extension by 10 sittings would mean the ongoing Parliament session will continue for two more weeks.
