French Senate Adopts Measures to Prepare for No-Deal Brexit

(Bloomberg) -- The French Senate passed a draft law preparing the country to keep passenger traffic, road transport and trade running between France and the U.K. in case the latter fails to agree on the terms of its divorce from the European Union by a March 30 deadline.

The bill, presented last month, also aims to allow the government to use executive orders to smooth out travel, residence permits, work, and access to welfare for British citizens in France. The legislation will now be discussed in the National Assembly.
