(Bloomberg) -- Denmark agreed on its first ever climate bill, with lawmakers committing to ambitious goals to reduce emissions over the coming decade.
A majority in the Danish parliament backed a target of reducing CO2 by 70% by 2030, compared with 1990 levels, according to Ritzau.
“There will be annual reviews to ensure we’re on the right track,” said Climate and Energy Minister Dan Joergensen of the ruling Social Democrats, according to Ritzau. “There’ll also be a preliminary target set for 2025.”
