Coronavirus Outbreak: States Respond To SOS For Helping Stranded Citizens

The 21-day national lockdown announced by Prime Minister Narendra Modi earlier this week as part of measures to curb the outbreak of the novel coronavirus has hit migrant workers the hardest.

These people who’re trying to go back home are reportedly facing obstacles in the form of lack of access to food to walking on highways for days together in the absence of any public transport.

The plight, however, has urged various state governments to coordinate and help them workers.
