Bulgaria Detains Four Over Trouble at Soccer Match With England

(Bloomberg) -- Bulgarian authorities detained six soccer fans for indecent behavior at a Monday soccer match against England, and are looking for three more suspects, the nation’s Interior Ministry said.

Police has identified nine out of 15 people involved in the incident, which is being investigated, it said on Wednesday without releasing details about the detainees. Results of the investigation will be passed on to prosecutors.

Racist chanting interrupted the country’s Euro 2020 qualifier game. Bulgaria’s top soccer official stepped down a day later. The Union of European Football Associations also opened disciplinary inquiries against both teams.
