Boris Johnson Talks Middle East Peace With U.S.’s Jared Kushner

Prime Minister Boris Johnson joined talks between U.S. President Donald Trump’s senior adviser Jared Kushner and U.K. Foreign Secretary Dominic Raab in London on Thursday.

Johnson, Raab and Kushner discussed the Middle East peace process, the prime minister’s office said. Johnson’s spokesman James Slack refused to give further details, saying only that Johnson had “dropped in” for a short time.

Asked if the meeting represents an endorsement of the Trump administration during the U.S. election campaign, Slack replied that the U.K. has a long history of not commenting on foreign elections. “Elections are a matter for that particular country,” Slack said.

Kushner flew into the U.K. on Wednesday night on his way back to the U.S. from a tour in the Middle East.
