Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi hit out at the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government, saying conflicts in many states including Jammu and Kashmir started only after it came to power in 2014.

The situation worsened after the BJP came to power in Jammu and Kashmir in coalition with the PDP.

Adressing a rally in Chhattisgarh, Gandhi said that during the UPA rule, terrorism was controlled in the J&K valley but the atmosphere has changed ever since the Modi government came to power in 2014.

“Unrest is everywhere in the country--Srinagar, Sikkim and Bastar. Peace has vanished from Uttar Pradesh, Tamil Nadu,” Gandhi said.

The Congress party's Vice President claimed that the prevailing unrest in parts of the country under the NDA rule was benefiting the RSS, China and Pakistan. Gandhi also alleged that the RSS wanted Dalits, adivasis and OBCs to remain weak and oppressed so that they could rule over them.

“Wherever they (RSS) go they trigger a fight (aag lagate hai). In Haryana, they started a fight between Jats and non-Jats, between Hindus and Muslims in Kashmir, Bengali and non-Bengali in Assam. Wherever they go they make people fight.

Gandhi accused Prime Minister Modi of stealing the land of the tribals and giving it to rich industrialists. He said in all this, the tribals were suffering and it was causing them losses.
