As economist, senior fellow at IDFC Institute and founding trustee at IndiaSpend, Praveen Chakravarty has worn many hats, including a couple at BloombergQuint.

After over a year of contributing a monthly column — Noise To Signal — Chakravarty joined BloombergQuint as contributing editor last year. In that role he hosted much-acclaimed interview shows with Chief Economic Adviser Arvind Subramanian and former Reserve Bank of India Deputy Governor Subir Gokarn.

On February 5, 2018 the Indian National Congress announced that Chakravarty has been appointed chairman of its newly constituted data analytics department.

As a result Chakravarty will be stepping down from his role as contributing editor at BloombergQuint but will continue his monthly column.
