Iran-Sanctions Trial Judge Says a Jury Has Been Selected

(Bloomberg) -- A jury has been selected in the trial of a Turkish banker accused of helping to violate U.S. sanctions against Iran.

Mehmet Hakan Atilla is accused of fraud and conspiracy to commit money laundering. His co-defendant, Turkish-Iranian gold trader Reza Zarrab, was also scheduled to be tried at the same time, but the judge overseeing the case told prospective jurors Monday that Atilla would be the only defendant.

Zarrab’s absence hasn’t been explained.
