Paul said in a Twitter message Wednesday, "I appreciate all of the support from everyone," but he didn’t say when he might return to the Senate. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell of Kentucky told reporters Tuesday that Paul, a Republican, is "on the mend" and is expected to be back in Washington next week. Paul’s neighbor, Rene Boucher, was arrested and charged with assault, according to news reports.
