Cabinet Reshuffle: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s New Ministerial Team 

Prime MInister Modi’s new top team sees big changes.

In a significant reshuffle of important portfolios, including defence and railways, and the induction of nine new ministers, Prime Minister Narendra Modi reworked his team for the third time since forming government in 2014.

The headline making moves are that Nirmala Sitharaman, so far commerce minister, has now been entrusted the defence portfolio. Suresh Prabhu lost the railways portfolio to Piyush Goyal. Prabhu is now in charge of commerce and industry.
