France Says 26 French Hurt in Barcelona Attack

(Bloomberg) -- The French foreign ministry said 26 French were injured in Thursday’s terror attack in Barcelona and that Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian will travel to the Spanish city today to visit victims and show France’s support.

The emailed statement said 11 of the French were seriously wounded.

French President Emmanuel Macron posted on Twitter and sent a statement, both in Spanish, expressing France’s “solidarity” with Barcelona, where 13 people were killed and scores injured Thursday evening when a van rampaged through a crowded tourist district. The Islamic State has claimed the attack.
